POW-POW!

POW-POW stayed with GranJan, Katie and BIG T today while Charles and Rachel continue to move! he was a real sweetheart and Katie can make BELLY  LAUGH! Check out the video!.....In a couple of days I'm going to post my big secret! Stay tuned!

.Here's a sunrise pix in my backyard! I love to see the sunrise b/c the sun reflects on the water ! I really love living on this lake---we see so many cool things! GEESE! HAHA! This pix was made on my BIRTHDAY last week---it was like God got me up (He used Buddy to get me out of bed b/c he had to go out! HAHA) and when I walked into the sunroom this is what I saw! AMAZING!....I posted some pix of the two BEST FRIENDS (and BEST COUSINS) ever! Kemp and Lily! They ADORE each other! Beg for me to go get their best buddy when one is here and the other isn't. Yesterday when I picked up Lily from PlaySchool I asked her if she had fun on her week-end trip to Mexico Beach . She said, "Yes, but I missed Kemper"! NOT I missed YOU, GranJan! HAHA! And, when she went with us to Cahaba Heights UMC the other week she ran over and got a big cookie and broke it down the middle for KEMP and said, "Here's you a cookie, Kemp!" (She's so generous, just like her daddy!). Kemp is the same about her! He spent a night last week and when he walked in he said, "Can Lily come over?" They are just so GOOD together and play and play and PLAY. Gone, (for the most part!), are the days when they would fight over toys. Now they are little angels and just ADORE being together!!........I'm getting a little nervous about the coming week I have before mentioned! Still "keeping a lid on it" for a few more days until I make sure it's gonna happen. If it doesn't, well, don't ask me! HAHAHA! I'm nervous about the "event"  (yes, I'll give you that, it's an EVENT), and yet excited, too. Just lots of stuff going into it. Not me planning it, other people. You'll just have to STAY TUNED to see what the HECK I'm referring to! HAHAHAHA! Don't you LOVE secrets that you don't know? HA!

Helping Laura Clean

I mean, how PRECIOUS is that???? Friday, I was looking for Kemp and found him alongside Laura cleaning my bathroom!! Isn't that adorable?! Laura had helped Kemp put up his train track and it just thrilled Kemp to death! I guess he just wanted to re-pay her for her kindness and help her clean up! He also helped fold clothes!!! The circle continues! Patrick and Katie used to do the very same thing years ago!!!! Brought tears to my eyes!

Swimming at O O

We tried to cool off yesterday at Old Overton! I never did cool off b/c I didn't get wet! I decided to just sit under the fans and try and stay cool and make pictures. Didn't work! TOO HOT! I should've just put on the ole bathing suit and gotten in, but I didn't--I just complained. So, I sat there and sweated and was miserable. But, according to the girls, it was even hot in the water! HOT DAY in the ole 'HAM! Next time I go I'll make sure to put on my bathing suit or else melt away like the wicked witch!

 

P.S. Yes, I know I've mentioned some exciting news to come in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned. You might be shocked like I was!  HAHAHAHAHAHA! (that should whet your appetite!)

AWESOME BIRTHDAY GIFT!

Yesterday I got a huge surprise in the mail! A HUGE box was waiting for me after Katie and I got home from Nat's. I couldn't WAIT to open it because Becky (the SENDER!) sends the MOST wonderful gifts in the mail to me! How lucky am I to have HER for a friend? She sends stuff , not just to  ME, but to my GRANDKIDS, too! She is soooo precious! She sent me this poem with the gift:

GUESS WHAT I GOT????? Not one, but TWO inflatable INFLATABEDS! One for a BOY (with crocs!) and one for a GIRL (with flowers!). Oh my goodness they are ADORABLE! AND, come with a foot pump too!!!!!

My BIRTHDAY!

 O.K., I'll admit it, I'm a FREAK about my birthday!I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY!!!! I told my mom yesterday, "Thanks for having me on JULY 17th!" HAHA!  (BTW, I celebrated with Mimi on the 16th since I was taking her to get her hair fixed that day anyway!).I had a GREAT DAY!!! Started off by going shopping with THE GIRLS---MY girls, Nat/Daisy/Katie! We did some shopping and then we went to my favorite spot to eat lunch, ZOE'S. As we walked in, there sat DIANNE! She was my SURPRISE! How fun was that?! She brought me some roses that were gorgeous! We hung around Zoe's awhile and then ran next door to the children's shop and found Miss D some clothes (as IF she needs more!). Unfortunately, Dianne had to go back to work ! Then we shopped around until time to get Kemp. After we dropped Nat back at the church, Katie and I did a little more shopping and came home for a little while before heading back to Nat's to meet Meg and go to CheesecakeFactory! Of all things, KONIE was there (eating with some of Bill's employees!). She came over to visit with us too!The only ones missing were Kadie/Lily/Patrick and Terry! (Lily/Kadie went to the beach with her mom for a few days). Rachel's mom also came to eat with us at the Cheesecake Factory and the kids all gave me money towards , get this! A NEW PRINTER!!! I'm soooooo excited!!! I had a BLAST!! THANK YOU, KIDS!!!.....Also, I have some very exciting news coming. Can't give details yet bu it is quite exciting (and no, it has nothing to do with anybody being pregnant! HAHAHAHA)....more to come!

JON'S new wheels!

Here is Jon with his new car!! He is sooo excited (so is Katie!). I rode down to Auburn with Katie/Jon for Jon to get his new car and bring it back here. I just love it and so happy that he has it! Hurrah for Jon Jon! Jon, I hope you have many miles of joy driving your new car!

More Pensacola and Pat!

Here are some still shots of our first few minutes with Patrick! We decided that Kemp had been in the car long enough and needed to get OUTSIDE! So, when we stopped at the Tourist Center to find directions to our motel, we saw it was on the bayside so we decided to let Kemp FISH with PatPat (the previous pix). It was so much fun to just chill out and enjoy each other's company doing something that Pat and Kemp loved to do!  After that, we went to the motel and after eating (we were STARVING and my home made bar-b-q sure tasted great!),  B/N/K/P went SWIMMING (I made pix and played with sweet Daisy cakes)! Brad is so easy going and loves to just do things "on the fly" , that being with them was just a fun time of laughter and "anything goes" so we just did our own thing.  It was great. More pix later!

What a wonderful JULY 4th!

We had the best time ever last week-end in Pensacola!!! Brad and Kemp drove Patrick's truck down and Daisy, Natalie and I drove her car. We got there so fast and I had  packed all my great food for the 4th of July celebration dinner and it was just delicious! It was GREAT being with Patrick and he soooo enjoyed being with Nat/Brad and especially HIS babies! Kemp was beside himself having PatPat there and Daisy REMEMBERED her sweet Uncle PatPat! She gave him the BIGGEST smile when he walked up and she held out those chubby little arms to him and it brought tears to my eyes! It was a wonderful reunion, that's for sure ! I have some short video clips to add to the page as well as pictures for the next SEVERAL days! (I made a TON of pix!). Here is just the first few HOURS of July 4th! HAHA

YIPEE! We're going to see PATRICK!

I may be more excited over going to see Patrick this week-end than when he graduated! WHY? Because we have more "down time" to spend with him this coming week-end and he can see his 2 of his favorites! Kemp and Daisy!! He just can't WAIT to see those two monkeys!!! Patrick lived in Nat/Brad's downstairs apt. for 2 years so he thinks those kids are HIS! And they love him, like another parent, too!!! Kemp is so excited, all he's talked about is seeing PATPAT and him going "crabbing with me". Oh, how he loves to be with PatPat!!!! I just can't wait to see him and spend time with him and just chill on the beach with him!! I miss him so much and miss hearing his LAUGH! As I always say, NOBODY has a laugh like Patrick! To hear him laugh is music to my ears! I hope to hear him laugh a LOT this week-end!!! I'm busy fixing foods Patrick loves , plus tradional July 4th stuff! Home made Bar-B-Q chicken/ home made potatoe salad/home made  slaw/ HOME MADE cake/ BOUGHT cookies (haha)! you name it, I've got it ready to go!!!! Brad might kill me in the morning when he sees all this stuff to pack in the car! HAHA... Katie had a hard decision but decided to go see Patrick in a few weeks instead of this week-end. Katie ended up going to Auburn b/c Jon is going to buy a new car this week-end and she wanted HER input on what he is choosing! HA! So, maybe in a few weeks we'll go back, Jon/Katie and me !(yes, I'm ALWAYS going!). I told Michael today maybe they can ago for a week-end as well as Chaz/Rach and Powell even. But, the good thing is , that Patrick will be coming home before too long.  Terry was in Jamaica last week-end and is going back next week-end so he's not going this time either. Just me and the HORNES.Brad is driving Pat's truck down so hopefully, when Patrick enters Phase 2  (or is it 3?), he can DRIVE HOME! Won't that be awesome?! Anyway, for now, just excited to pieces that I'll see my sweet Patrick TOMORROW! I CANNOT WAIT! God gave me a  special surprise gift this week--my camera came back FIXED yesterday! I wasn't expecting it for another few days, was thinking I wouldn't have it for the trip, now I'm soooooo thrilled to have my BIG Canon working and I have a BIG mega Flash Card so I can make lots of pix this week-end!!!! I have been so frustrated (just ask my kids!) about my big EXPENSIVE Camera that hasn't worked right in over a year. I finally sucked it up and mailed it off, after getting over a thousand dollars in insurance on it. THey fixed it QUICKLY and I got it back YESTERDAY! WHOOPEE!! So, be watching out for some GREAT (I hope!) pix of some of my favorite people from this coming week-end! HAPPY JULY 4th EVERYONE!!! (BTW, for those who are counting,  13 days from tomorrow is a ANOTHER great day! HAHAHAHA)

After Natalie and Brad got back on Saturday, Natalie/Katie/Daisy and I wanted to go shopping! (Yes, DAISY loves to SHOP!).  So, we took off , amid Kemp's wails! HOWEVER, he was fine once his daddy mentioned playing in the water! When we got back the 2 mischief makers had made WATER BALLOONS and you should have heard Nat/KT shriek at that! HAHAHAHA
