Well, I had quite the day yesterday! I was at my dentist app't EARLY for once in my life!!! My sweet dentist came and immediately took X-Rays. She came running and and said, and I QUOTE: "you have a MASSIVE abscess that is growing"! Words you DON'T want to hear! I kept thinking, "MASSIVE and "GROWING". I knew it, the pain was so bad, but still I was hoping it was getting better, not worse! Well, she said that by looking at the XRay she wasn't even sure which tooth b/c 2 of them looked bad. She wanted me to see an Endodontist at Brookwood. My first reaction? I wanted to cry! I made it to the car, but then, when I called Terry started bawling like Daisy or Powell! HAHA! I knew: it would be an ordeal/didn't know where I was going/knew that Root canals HURT/knew we had NO DENTAL INSURANCE!! Well, Terry was great and assured me it didn't matter HOW MUCH it cost (why doesn't he say things like that when I buy clothes/!) to just GO ! So, I did. First off, I noticed the office was BEAUTIFUL! That made me think,Bad news! I thought , they have to PAY to have an office that gorgeous! HAHAHAHA! Anyway, the girls at the desk were sooooooo sweet (loved my earrings! HAHA) and I went to fill in all the paperwork. They even have a patio outside where you can sit on pretty days, overlooking Homewood. Beautiful! Anyway, they got me back pretty quickly despite the fact that the HUGE beautiful waiting room was fairly full.I guess that's the ONLY good thing about a "massive, growing abscess"! I was immediately impressed with the "operating" room! A nice flat screen T.V. on an arm so you can watch (and get your mind off the pain!) and the view! (Brookwood Enododonists is located right next to Brookwood Hospital, up a steep hill). The nurse came in , all chatty, and soon DOCTOR DREAMY walked in! WOW! I ALMOST forgot my pain as this GORGEOUS HUNK walked in!!! Black curly hair, big blue eyes!! SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!WOW EYE CANDY!!!!! The best part??? He really WAS the SWEETEST GUY EVER! He, too, thought that both teeth might be bad but said he was conservative so he would only do ONE then. Hopefully, the other one is o.k.,, guess we'll know in a week or so!!! He did the Root Canal and before I knew it , it was over! It wasn't all that bad, of course, there were some painful moments, haha, but IT'S OVER!!!!!!! HURRAH!!!! I am on some stronger antibiotics and I don't even need the pain medicine anymore. In fact, I haven't even had any Advils this morning! Granted, my gums are very sore, but the horrible pounding pain is GONE! PRAISE GOD!!! You better believe I will NEVER MISS my cleaning appt's again!!
