She's green!

Yes, Natalie is  feeling a little GREEN! But, she is also BLESSED as you can see from the adorable shirt she made! Isn't it precious?!

Lily is just TU TU CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big T came in carrying a sleeping Lily on his shoulder yesterday afternoon. The minute he laid her on the bed, her eyes popped open and she said, "GranJan, I want to watch the WIGGLES!" Well, she ran into the kitchen---hopped up on the stool where she watches them on the little T.V. and spied>>>>>> the TUTU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness! She started squealing and giggling and said, "I WANT THAT!"!  (Friday I bought her a little pink tutu; play dancing shoes and ribbon wand)! That was the end of the nap!!!!!!!! She IMMEDIATELY wanted to put on the tutu! and satin shoes!!!! Big T was ready to go to Costco and Home Depot and she had to wear it both places! Everyone would stop and say, "your little princess is SOOOO ADORABLE!" She was! IS! We had so much fun with her this week-end. Notice the TUB PHOTOS! She fell on the driveway and skinned her little knee all up. She's such a tough little girl she didn't even cry! But, she did check it out in the tub! Notice her different expressions as she tells me " I know that hurts!"  She slept all night (between Big T and GranJan of course!). We hated to see her go home!!!!......After lunch, Katie and I went to the mall (of COURSE!) and Katie found her sis a few adorable Maternity shirts. So, we dropped by to see her and give them to her and see Kemp and Brad. Kemp came running to the car and squealed, "AUNT CUTIE! Come play GOLF with me!!!!" He was soooooooo adorable!  He, too, fell and scraped HIS little knee up and he was tough and didn't cry either! Poor babies! Both with skint knees!Nat wasn't anywhere to be seen---she was upstairs looking kinda GREEN! YUK! I think the early pregnancy has surely made itself known! Poor Nat Nat!

CAR WASH!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a blast today washing cars for SonDay Live. It was a time to try and get people to get their cars washed, FREE, and then invite them to church! We even had some 5 months old twins "helping"! Whitney and Westin!   CHECK OUT HOW AWESOME MY LITTLE BUG LOOKS!.. ( That's Brad/Nat/kemp's car  in the photos getting washed, too!!!)....... Imagine my SURPRISE to see a woman get out of the car that I hadn't seen in 20 years and whom I was just talking about to another friend JUST THIS WEEK!!! DEBBIE ALLEN ALEXANDER!!!! What a shocker-roo!!! We chatted and chatted and CHATTED (and I got out of washing a few cars, too!) and got to invite her to church since she now lives in RIVERCHASE after retiring from Delta Airlines! WOW! What a GOD Thing! Had a blast washing cars and Nat, Brad and Kemp came and got their car washed , too! HEY! SO DID I!  CHECK THIS OUT:          http://www.sondaylive.org/

........Now I'm waiting for Terry to go and pick up Miss LILY who is going to spend the night with us! We are going to take her to Costco and to get some tomatoe/okra plants to plant! Lily loves working in the garden!!!! I can't wait to see my little girl!

Donnie's birthday!

Donnie had a birthday last Friday! Terry and I went to Mr/Mrs. Hulsey's house along with Mary Margaret; Floyd; Frankie; Toni; David; David  D and his wife and little Gracie along with some friends of Becky and Donnie's for dinner and ice cream and cake. It was Donnie's first birthday without Becky so we wanted him to have his family around! It was so much fun and he loved it!!! Toni, Becky's sister-in-law made and designed the beautiful "Angel Flag" for Becky's gravesite. (Her marker isn't here yet and Donnie wanted her grave marked). What a lovely gift!!!  He LOVED it! We all did! We gave him some cash and he and Traye were going to go out to eat in Auburn and watch the baseball game. I think Donnie had a great night! I know we all did! We were just missing that ONE SPECIAL PERSON---Becky.......

Good-Bye Pat Pat!

Well, Pat Pat is in Destin! We've talked to him several times---once as he was FISHING! Doesn't sound like he's having too bad of a time so far!!! He starts work TOMORROW at 9 at that huge BASS PRO SHOP in Destin! Let's hope the boy WAKES UP IN TIME!  hahahaha! ! Oh, how I miss my boy! Today Katie was driving and handed  me the phone and said, "CALL PAT!" I did and we chatted awhile and he said he  was doing fine. His back was sore (YIKES) from lifting all the furniture but he said it was feeling better. I'm sure KATIE was hoping he was homesick and ready to move back home! ha!.......These pix were made on Friday night before he left on Saturday morning. How sad to see the last one, the last time he drives out of Nat/Brad's drive-way!!! Kemp was so SAD, he is going to miss his Uncle Pat Pat so very much. But, I'm so thankful he got down there safely , driving that huge truck! I sure do miss my blonde boy! Katie and I might ride down next week to see him, but if we don't, we'll for sure see him when the FAMILY goes to the beach  (SandDestin) in Destin in May............

Kristy hearing the news!!!!!!!!!!

When we were together on Thursday, we decided to SKYPE Kristy so that we could SEE her reaction as well as HEAR it!!! She was soooooooo funny! All of us huddling around the computer when Natalie held up the pregnancy test stick!!!! It took her a minute to get it and when she did-------------WAAAA! The tears flowed and the smile grew! Like rain when the sun shines!! It was hilarious!! Check out the pictures ! They are priceless! (By the way, the pix of Brad on the phone are when he tried, unsuccessfully, to call his MUM for several hours while we were there! She was "out and about". He finally got her late (our time), at her friend, Sue's, house! She was thrilled to know she is having TWO babies within a few months of each other! FAIR DINKUM!..BTW, the picture of Natalie holding the phone is when she put MIMI on the SPEAKER PHONE so we could all hear her reaction! Natalie called her and asked, "MIMI, can you keep a secret?????!" Mimi said, "NO!" hahahaha! She was sooooooo excited!

P.S. If you look at the picture of the computer screen, look in the bottom left corner and you can see whoever it is that is talking to Kristy (Nat is in most of them) It's a tiny box on the left side of the screen! That is how she looks to Kristy! Isn't SKYPE wonderful?!

LOTS TO SAY!

Guess you figured it out by now, but if not----YES, kemp is going to be a big brother! Here's a few shots from the other night when they told us! And HOW they told us!!! haha! When we got there, Lily and Kemp were playing in the backyard and Brad was fixing "dogs and burgers" on the grill. Apparently , Pat found the "evidence"---the empty box in the trash right before and so he found out FIRST! HAHA! He picked up Kemp and held him on his shoulders. He said, "Make a picture of Kemp, mom!" I did and I heard Kadie scream! I was looking thro the eye of the camera and had no idea what, if anything , the shirt had even on it!!! Then, Kadie goes, "GRAN JAN! LOOK AT WHAT KEMP'S SHIRT SAYS!" Before I even saw the writing, I saw the look on Nat's face and I just KNEW! HA! We were/ARE so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was great news on a night where we were happy but sad, too. We were having a "good bye" dinner for our precious PAT PAT as he MOVES to Destin (TODAY!). Charles and Rachel were the only ones missing, they are in San Francisco, so they didn't get to find out this time the news this night, but maybe this news will make THEM want a  wee one soon, too!--- As far as Pat's move: Pat has always wanted to live near the beach----he LOVES Destin!! He kept telling us he was going to apply at that HUGE Bass Pro Shop there, and he did! Well, as his luck would have it, he GOT HIRED!! He turned in his 2 week notice to Mark's Outdoors but in the meantime, they called him back and wanted him ASAP! SOOOOOO, he is starting work----TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He got an apartment and is moving today!!!!!!!!!! RIGHT NOW! WAAAA!. Terry wanted to have a PRAYER SEND OFF for Pat so that's what we did! We all prayed out loud for our sweet brother/son and even Lily and Kemp joined in with their cherubic chatter. It was a CRY-FEST , for sure, no one wants PAT PAT to leave, but we're so happy for him, too. I was FINE until yesterday when I was there helping him load the truck and Kemp was "helping" ! Then, he put Kemp in the car seat when we were leaving and Kemp started screaming , "PAT PAT!" I lost it as did Pat. Kemp is going to miss his Uncle Pat living with him and Natalie and Brad? Well, while she sometimes fussed over his MESSY room and leaving too much garbage in his garbage can, they are REALLY so sad. I guess God had arranged already for Natalie to be at Camp Sumatanga this week-end when he left, otherwise, she wouldn't have made it thro the good-byes. And being "Preggie" she already is emotional!! Glad she's not here. When she called to check on Kemp yesterday (we're helping Brad out with him while she is working on the week-end), we both cried when I told her about how KEMP cried! OH , and Katie????? Katie who cries when an ANT dies???? Imagine!!! Needless to say, we're a BUCKET OF TEARS! BUT, we'll PROBABLY hear from him more NOW than before, to be honest! And, at least Stefanie will  be down there, too, so he won't be totally alone, thank goodness! I will post those pix in a few days!.........

Back to the "PREGNANT SURPRISE": It was so funny b/c one of the first things Natalie told Kadie and Michael after we figured out the message on KEMP'S SHIRT, was, "we were pregnant together last time, so let's have a baby together again!" Michael shook his head an emphatic NO ! HAHA! I wish they would! That was so much FUN! (for ME, anyway! HAHA)........BUT! GUESS WHAT?????????  Natalie IS pregnant with a sister-in-law anyway! KARYN (and ANTS). are pregnant, too! The only "fly in the ointment"???? THEY ARE DOWN UNDER so I can't get any PREGGIE BELLY pictures of them together! (and we can't go to the hospital to see the new little HORNE when he/she first arrives!!!!!! ) AND,  I 'll just have to copy and paste bellies side by side, I guess! MOZZA is going to be like I was the first time----have 2 together!!!! GO MOZ!!!!.....As they say in Australia, FAIR DINKUM!!!!...I have the most incredible pix of Brad/Nat telling KRISTY via SKYPE (the internet video service---In "real time")THE news!!! I will post those tomorrow , to drag this out! HAHAHA! They are great photos! Kristy cried, too, so add that to the CRYING NIGHT at the Horne House< only, they were all tears of JOY, for Pat AND for Nat/Brad and Kemp! Such is the stuff of LIFE! Moving on, adding TO, living life to the fullest! Being the very best person you can be and BLOOMING where you are PLANTED! Especially this moment: To my sweet Pat and Nat, moving towards a new turn in your lives: BLOOM ON, precious precious ones! I love you so much.........

I work harder on keeping it organized than anything else! SO MUCH STUFF crammed into one room! But, I know where every little thing is and where everything belongs!!!!.....THIS IS MY BLISS!

GLorious Easter Day!

We had such a lovely Easter day! A little chilly for us here in 'Bama---2 weeks ago we were sweating when we went to see THOMAS the TRAIN and today, downright CHILLY! But, still beautiful!!!! I made Katie get ready EARLY so that I could do the altar at church before people started piling into the church! (It was a gorgeous altar, if I do say so myself!!! ). The service was wonderful---so inspiring and of course , as usual,Nat sang  with the Praise Team and it was beautiful! Then,  I quickly took down the altar  and we rushed home---took the ham out of the oven and I quickly iced the cake; grabbed all the gazillion Easter gifts for Kemp and Lily and off we went! We had such a great lunch! YUMMY! We ate; the guys watched the MASTERS and the kids played. Then, off to visit with Chaz and Rachel and Jamie and L.J. ("LADY JANE"!). They were fixing to go run so we didn't stay too long and besides, KATIE had to tell JON good-bye before he went back to COW TOWN (Auburn!)! We had a great day and a blessed Easter Sunday!!!.......He is Risen! He is risen INDEED!

Mimi WALKS into HearthStone!

WOW! MIMI IS HOME!!!! I never would have thought , after Mimi broke her hip on Jan.23rd of this past year, that Mimi ever would've walked back into HearthStone again! BUT, she defied the odds and sure enough, at age 92 1/2, she walked straight through those doors to HOME! She had been counting the days and FINALLY, yesterday morning, Mimi arrived home!! She had a bevy of well-wishers there to greet her! Family/friends and workers alike! She wore her crown they gave her at East Glen and I gave her a lei with the attached "SPIRIT AWARD" to it. So, she looked every part THE WINNER she is! Mimi will tell you, "there's NO place like HOME!"
